Chrimbo is made by New Era Digital Consultants Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Chrimbo uses and why. In short: your plans stay on your device and we never see them.

Your plans stay on your device

Everything you type into Chrimbo (names, ages, addresses, gift ideas, budgets, menus and so on) is saved only in your own web browser, on your own device. It is not sent to us or anyone else. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it if it is deleted, so please use the Backup button now and then.

If you import contacts, the file is read on your device and is not uploaded. If you send an e-card, Chrimbo opens your own email or messaging app. The message goes from you, not through us.

When you buy Chrimbo

The app: purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and takes care of payment and VAT. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the sale, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details. We receive your name, email address and order details, so that we can answer your questions and handle refunds.

The printable kit is sold through Etsy, which handles the purchase and download under Etsy's privacy policy. We receive the order details Etsy shares with sellers.

Your licence code

When you enter your code, Chrimbo sends the code and a device label (for example "iPhone, Safari") to Lemon Squeezy to check it is valid and to count it towards your 3 devices. Chrimbo re-checks the code about once a month when you are online. No planning data is sent.

Website visits

We count visits to this website using privacy-friendly analytics that don't use cookies. It records which pages are viewed, not who you are.

Cookies

Chrimbo does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's storage only to save your plans and licence on your device.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting (usually 6 years in the UK).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (your order details). Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
