A busy mum of three, the founder of Chrimbo, and its very first customer.
Every year we host two days of big family Christmases, but the work isn't just those two days. It takes up the whole of December, getting everything ready.
I've always kept present lists in my notes app, adding to them throughout the year and often forgetting I'd already started one. Christmas cards just feel like an impossible task on top of school events, teacher presents and managing the class WhatsApp groups.
Then there's Christmas Day itself, which is exhausting: keeping on top of the cooking while chatting to the guests, helping the children find batteries for their new stocking presents, and making sure the dog doesn't eat the canapés. By Boxing Day evening I wonder whether it was even all worth it.
So I made the planner I wanted, with everything in one place and the cooking timed for me, so I can actually enjoy it.
I didn't make Chrimbo and hand it to someone else to try out. I'm its first customer and its first user, and I'm planning my own family's Christmas with it this year.
So I'd love to hear what you think, and what other features you'd like me to add.
I'm also the founder of The Lewis Croft Co., a little shop of gently funny, watercolour-style greeting cards and Christmas printables. They star a gang of island characters from the Outer Hebrides: otters, puffins, seals and Highland cows doing the things people love, from wild swimming to golf and knitting.
If you've got any ideas or questions, I'd love to hear from you. Just email me at [email protected].
Thank you so much for visiting.
